SCF Announcements from Rev. Fuga

By Rev. Tu'ugasala L.U. Fuga |  April 6, 2020

Good Monday to all our SCF members!

Thank God for his protection, healing and the gift of life covering you all. Praises be to our Lord and God! Let's continue praying, fasting and spend time with our Lord through his Word, especially this week, as we reflect on the significance of his death and celebrate his resurrection from death on Sunday morning. These are two most important historical events of our Faith in God.

I come to you today letting you know, that this Wednesday, we'll have prayer meeting at 7 pm in our homes. Then on Friday, every family shall hold their own Good Friday service at home led by the parents. May this be centered on reading the story of Jesus' suffering and crucifixion from the Gospel of John 18 and 19. And on Sunday morning at 10 am, we'll hold Easter Service online together as usual.

Parents, I'm counting on you to lead your families in these services, and be the spiritual leaders of your children at these times. If there's anything we can learn together from this stay home order, this is it. Parents once again leading their families toward God and his will.

I'll try the best I can to make sure I don't intrude myself into disrupting that order. For I believe it's a God given order for families. Parents, in order to be parents, they must lead their children and families toward God. The pastor and the church only compliment that.

So as we celebrate this important week in our history as Jesus' Church, I wish you all a very blessed and happy Passion Week in the Lord. Julie and I love you all very much. May the grace and peace of our Lord Jesus Christ abound in your hearts and homes.

Alofa tele atu.
